SYLOI Resource Center

Shine Your Light On It (SYLOI) Resource Center seeks to provide a centralized place where individuals and couples can access needed resources that will holistically equip them in their relationships from before marriage TO after 'I Do' TO family building and forever.
It’s commonly said that half of all first marriages end in divorce. However, the reality is more complex. The American Psychological Association (APA) estimates that the probability of a first marriage ending in divorce within the first 10 years is approximately 33% in 2023.

Yet, remarriage is a common occurrence in the United States, with approximately 40% of marriages involving at least one spouse who has been married before. Approximately 50% of divorced adults remarry within 5 years and men are more likely to remarry than women. Therefore, it's not that marriage does not work, most people desire to be married. However, it's because many people are entering into marriage with the wedding day being the big climax, not the forever. Most are unprepared with the mentality, expectations and tools required for the long term commitment, work, compromising, give and take, nourishing, sacrificing, loyalty, teamwork, vision, mission and purpose MANDATORY to achieve the reward of long term, undeniable success of marriage.
At Shine Your Light On It, our total focus will be on equipping those ready to embark or already in the marriage relationship with the right tools, while simultaneously showcasing the endless attractive, sexy, committed, rewarding and Godly institution of marriage. Let's Go. You got this! Let's get you equipped! Shine Your Light On It!
